Folks:

Let me say this one more time, pinpoint a reliable Nissan or Infiniti tech and stick with them for the life of your Nissan or Infiniti. And at the end of each year, buy them a nice Christmas gift, whether they work on your car or not. I bought my Tech a nice X-mas gift. Treat your Tech with respect---they are human beings like you. For this, my Tech just brought my Little Nissan back to life today.

All I paid was between $65 - $75, and this is what I got from my tech. I came with my parts.

1. An oil change, a radiator fluid change, replacement of front brake pads and rotors, brake fluid replacement, fuel filter replacement, air filter replacement, spark plug replacement, spark plug wire replacement, distributor cap replacement, rotor button replacement, PCV valve replacement, adjustment of engine RPM, adjustment of advance timing.

After all this work, my Little Nissan has been pulling like hell. My alpha numbers on the ECU is now at almost 100% (98%) or near perfect. I have been flogging this ride with over 250k like a mad man all day long. I love this car.

What made the biggest difference, I think, was the idle RPM that was dropped form 1140 rpm down to 850rpm. And then, my timing was dropped from 22 BTDC down to 18 BTDC. Oh yes, the Little Nissan can handle beyond 20 BTDC safely on any grade of gas.

I still have some other minor work to do on the ride, and so next month, we shall continue the work to rehabilitate the Little Nissan, fully. I now feel like driving my Little Nissan more than my G for the first time in 1.5 years. The car is now so much fun to drive.

Oh, next month as promised, we will be changing my RP oil again, and installing stiffer Stillen sway bars, on the G. I think I shall wait until 2010 to install Strupp Exhaust manifolds, as my warranty will be voided with after- market headers, at least according to the Infiniti Service Consultant. And by the way, the Toyo Proxes T1R on the G is still functioning perfectly on the secret track, even at 17k of use. Excellent tires.

Jacko, I need your tech to work his magic on my 02 Exploder!! It recently got 12 mpg. I"ve recently changed to spark plugs, but still need to install the new fuel filter that has been riding around in the back seat for a month now.Maybe after that and if I clean the injectors, I'll see an improvement.

Glad to hear that your little nissan is doing well!!

And, here is your buddy

My little nissan is usually shy. She is introverted.
