Well right now I have around 14K in the total project, that includes buying the car, so when you add in what will probably be 1k worth of body work and paint (I can do 99% of it myself), 4k for wheels and tires, another 2.5k for the brembo BBK and about 3.5k for the kit. So thats what 25k right? You can probably pack on another 2k for odds and ends.

Alright guys, been sick with the shingles for about two weeks, but I'm feeling better and I'll have an update with lots of pics tomorrow. I've got the motor out and most of the bay cleared out.

If I had a dollar everytime I heard someone used the "I had shingles, so I didn't work on my car" -excuse....

I'd have a dollar.

Sorry guys, I no more then got over shingles and had my grandmother die, so I drove from MI to NC to attend the services and then came to the beach for a few days to get away. I'll be back home Saturday night and back to work Sunday. We'll get some stuff started and this thing going again. I also have a write up on how to get that trim piece off. haha.

Not trying to rush things for ya, but I figured I'd bring this back since we are now almost 18 weeks since purchase of the kit. Update would be appreciated.

Hey guys, sorry I've neglected this lately, I actually have been pretty side tracked, I built another car over the last few months, and because I did that my gf decided I had to finish her car before I went any further on the vert. Plus I am buying a house with a bigger garage, so that should help, I should be in it by the end of the month haha. Here are some pics of the car I built in the mean time, it was a crash course 2 week build, everything went great, but it has one small wiring gremlin that is screwing with me pretty badly.

From this: Auto, four lug, single cam, several rust holes

To this: 5spd, five lug, Z32 brake, SR, no rust, Z33 seats, blah blah

Side note, DeX are you on xceed?

I have an account there. I use xceed to mostly buy and sell. I'm not on there but a couple times a year.

Other than the wheels, I love that coupe.

I'm -De><teR on XS.

Haha I've actually made time this weekend to get back over to my shop and work on this thing. I bought a house around September and its consumed my time and money till now. Updates coming soon. I have had serious problems with the kit, filed for a refund, was refused, filed with my credit card company, was refused, and finally had to threaten a civil suit, got my money back. So now I'm trying to source it again from someone different. Oh I also took a welding class to learn to tig weld, so this should get really interesting quick.

Funny you guys should bump this, I'm just a few days away from working on this thing again. Long story, lost my job, had to get back to work before I could play with my cars again.
