Since I finally got the bugs worked out of the car, I took the time to do a few little things I've been wanting to do for a while. I took the time to build a partition for my intake to keep some of the heat out. I've still got to find a good way to route some cold air in there from the bumper though. Right now it's getting enough air, but the air is still pretty warm. With the stock SMIC it's hard to find a place to run a pipe for the air.

Here's a pic of the partition:

I also took the time to install a pair of R32 seats to complement my RB20DET engine. Here's a few pics of those in the car:

These seats feel so much better than my old seats. They also look 100x better, and are pretty unique :)

Looks good, what mods do you have other than these?

Hmm let's see. Right now I have a JWT Pop Charger, Cold Air Partition, gutted cat, 3" cat-back exhaust, R32 VLSD, and some free fairly lightweight 15" rims. I think that got all of the performance mods. Next on my list is a 3" downpipe and test pipe, then probably a FMIC.

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot I have an aftermarket ECU tuned by a Japanese company called Advance. http://www.advance-jp.com is their website

How well does that ECU work???? I Have a Blitz ECU in my car and I want to run it once with a stock unit in mine to see what difference it makes.

Well, I've yet to put it on the dyno so dunno what kinda gains it has over a stock ECU. I'm fairly certain it has a leaned out fuel map over stock because my A/F gauge doesn't even peg all the way rich under full throttle (yeah I know it's not a good indication but should still give some general idea). The stock fuel map gives the car about a 10.7:1 A/F ratio at high rpms according to my ROM Editor and bin file from a stock ecu, and if I had to guess I'd say mine is probably 11.5-12. As soon as I scrape up some more cash this things gonna hit a wideband dyno just to be safe.

This came in today

Too bad it's for my Dad's S13 instead of mine. He doesn't even have an engine for it yet and he's got all these aftermarket parts coming in soon. Maybe he'll let me borrow the FMIC until he sources an engine and gets it installed :D

Thatd be cool until you had to give it back. On my A/F meter it peggs hella lean under WOT. My friends dyno had wideband so I need to hook it up on the next visit.

Yeah giving it back would suck, but by the time he ever finds an engine I should have paid off my credit card debt and be able to afford one for myself
