My Labor Day Project

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I did the brakes a few months back but didn't have did have the time for painting the calipers. So I finally had time to paint the calipers on my 2011 today. 3 Coats of Silver, 3 Coats of Gold, then 3 Coats of clear, and this is what I came up with. Don't mind the filthy car and wheels.

Next plans for the exterior is going to paint the 19" wheels a graphite or gunmetal color.

How long did it take you to do that?

I took my time, but i think the the whole process took 3-4 hours from the time I put the car on Jack stands, to the time I put it back on the ground. Since then, I pulled it out of the garage, took pics, and put it back in. I still haven't driven the vehicle so I gave it plenty of time for the paint and clear coat to cure.

Nice! I would probably wait mine to rust out and replaced with a new one and then paint. :gapteeth:
