New struts are here! Can't wait to get them in and stop feeling my front wheels bounce all over the place on the crappy highways.

Wish me luck! I'll be taking pics of the CV of mine (if I replace it or not) to show you all what I was talking about.

If anyone's in the Chulajuana area tomorrow and wants to hang out or help, send me an email!

Ha ha, **** me! Best laugh I've heard all day.

We'll see about the pics. I'll be taking as many as I can, but not going to fark my camera with moly-greased hands. But will give the details on what really sucks and any tips on DIY.

Btw, never tackle a job without a friend at your side to point out when you're not making sense. 8 hours and huge hole in my wallet a la stealership special and I'm still not done.

For anyone's reference, never do macpherson struts without air tools.

I'll post a wite up when I finish it.

Whew! Only took me 15 hours to do by myself. I'll post the write up as soon as I get the pics posted up.

Fueler - I should have called you. I got there Sat morn and got the first strut slapped in place in 30 minutes. Thought'd be a cake walk after that and figured I"d be almost done by the time you got there if I called. Then spent the next 8:30 hours taking the other one out and getting it back in.

Air tools or a drill with really good torque. Helps the compressors squeeze the spring, or at least the ones I had.

Had to get the strut bearing and bump stops/boots at Mossy Nissan in Nasty City. Cost me over $130 for JUST those parts. Could have bought them online for about $60 quick shipped if I hadn't ended up in rush. Fark me.

BUT... They do feel awesome! Rides like a dream and I can't wait to test them in 4WD. Will do once I get my half axle fixed, new rear shocks and get the t-case leak dealt with.

Broke 3 tools doing it and stripped out the
