My KH3 1.6 versa

On April 13th, 2009 my g20 did not want to hold an idle in the morning. I swapped mafs, reset the ecu, plugged and unplugged various sensors to no avail. Because of this I was forced to buy a car that day. My choices were used corolla or new versa 1.6. The corolla is better made with better materials but still cost more then the versa and well, they were used. The versa fit my bill. So I went and bought one.

I was just about to wake my roommate to drive me around to check out cars when I gave the G another shot to start and it did. The car drove perfectly the rest of the day. I probably put 100 miles on it and it was flawless. I still bought the versa though.

I'm going to keep this thread for progress, problems, gas mileage, and mods.

I'm going a different route with this car. My plans are to get a pioneer avic-700bt, tint the windows, black chrome the front emblem and debadge the back (hope there are no holes), car alarm and add power locks to front two doors, and add center armrest. I'm also going to add alloys but I'm going to wait until I run these new tires bald before I do. I'm sure more will come but that's all I can think of now.

My G20 is turbo and has 217k miles on it. It still runs and feels brand new. The cold start problem I just can't figure out and don't have the time right now.

I think the radio needs to happen soon because playin music off my cell while driving to work kinda sucks.

Hey manI also have a 1.6 but mine came sith a stock radio. allot of people seem to underestimate the 1.6, but ive had it fro two months and its a really solid car.Hope you enjoy it

Hey, nice Versa. I used to own a 2002 G20, and had it been fitted with a a turbo (and a 5-speed transmission, while undergoing massive weight loss) it would probably still be in my garage. Nice cars, for sure but the 4-speed auto, 145hp (roller-rocker SR20), and 3000lb curb weight conspired to make mine a pretty slug. I'll always have a soft spot for those cars, though.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the Versa.

I drive my G20 around the block on my street once in awhile. I love that car. Much comfier and peppier then my versa. But I'm enjoying the newness of my econobox. Also enjoying the 39mpg I got on the last tank.

Debadged pics added to the first post. I put some light scratches in the lid where the emblem went so I'm going to have to buff those out. Otherwise was easy and looks awesome if I do say so myself.
