My keys dont work

My car keys will not work on my infiniti j30 anymore. They worked fine all day til i stopped at the store came out and they wouldnt work. I used both keys that have and nothing. any ideas what could be going on or even what to do? My car is stuck at the store!

Try both sides ??If so the Timer might be giving you greif.

i tried everything i could think of. just wont turn. whats the timer?

Hmm ..If the key wont even turn it has to be the keys or the lock.If the timer goes wonky it will lock the doors as soon as you unlock them ,, or any time it wants to actually.Tried a bit of graphite or white lithium in the lock itself ??Don't over do it .

tried graphite and a rubber mallet. i banged on the key and it turned over. however, i now have to bang on it everytime i want to start the car.

Sorry man ..I was thinking the door locks not the ignition.Weird you have to smack it though ??

i found a used 93 ignition on ebay. think i should get it?

An ebay used ignition is going to be, well, used and won't match your other keys (doors, glove box, trunk).

It sounds like the steering wheel lock is locking the ignition. Are you using one of the original titanium keys, along with as few other keys as possible on the same key ring in order to reduce wear on the ignition cylinder?

Trying putting a bit of pressure on the steering wheel, turning it to the left, while gently turning the ignition key to the right.

When the steering wheel moves freely (to a point and until it locks), the ignition key should turn easily.
