This is just my 2 cents, but could it possibly be the fuel pump or the fuel filter?? I am a semi-new 240sx owner... I have had it for 2 years but just started trying to fix it and get it runnign better... I also found out that on my 1990 240 that some of the wiring harness connectors for some of the sensors were badly corroded and cleaning them helped. have you checked your heat sensor... I think that mine might be messing up my car's performance... haven't shecked it yet though...

Give me some more details of it being hard to start. Does it crank for a long time before catching? Does it crank up but idles extremely low and/or stumbles/stalls? Have you been able to check the ECU for any trouble codes? Some possible culprits might be a weak battery, a closed air regulator valve, a bad engine temp sensor. Any more info would help immensely.

well i figured it out yesterday after about a week of searching. it was that the start signal fuse was blown don't ask me how it blew but it did. replaced it and it fires right up with no problems besides idleing low at lik 500 but i can deal with that. thanks for everyones help.
