My ka24de wont Start!! IT CRANKS!!

Hey im new to Nico. However, lets get into this issue of mine. Like all the topics i read up in here in Nico. I tryed to get a situation closes to mine but couldnt really figured it out. My car has been out for 6 months and s** it feels like hell!! without my 1991 240sx. Will anyways my 240sx had a head gasket problem and had caused my Ka motor to die. so i happened to pulled out another Ka24de out of a 91 like mine upset its an auto and mine is a 5 speed. So all i did with the rest of the guys was we just change out the flex plate and the torgue convertor from the auto ka and putted the flywheel and a clutch to make it 5 speed. we putted the manual transmission back on too the ka from the auto 240sx and swaped that into the chassie. we putted everything togeither and now it wont start. I tow my car to the shop for a diagnostic and they said it was my maf. I took back my car from the shop and bought like 3 mafs sensor!!! and it still didnt work. It cranks over but it wont start. At one point it started but wont keep idle unless i had my foot on the gas and it was running rich. Then it finally wont start now and its for sure it wont start but still it cranks over. I did timming like hella times!!! to the point where my bolts are starting to strip!!

So the newest thing i did was i bought a 92 upper harness with the 92 maf and Ecu. And re did timing again and again and it still wont start!! fuel is coming bc i checked and i can smell it. So now IM stuck and the COPS wants MY CAR out of the drive way bc the neighbor snich on me!!! anyone can help plz do so.

check your coolant temp sensor, if those are bad they usually keep your car from starting

Ok ill try that, but i want to know since i read up here in Nico that for 91 year there where 2 ecu made correct? and the 92 ecu are different which are 28 and 91's are 26? mine was a 26? will anyways it would still work correct? bc even though my motor is a 91 ka24de and im running the 92 ecu with the 92 harness and maf(will i think the maf wouldnt matter) it would still work correct? thanks

Ive never heard of that one, I know that ECU for 91-94 kade are all the same but the ECU for 95-98 wont work because the plug is different

will just to verify when come pair the two harness the 91 to the 92 the 92 had an extra negative, plus another connecting clip probably to a sensor for the 92 but not for the 91. since i dont have a plug since i dont see a plug that is missing from the 91 i left it as it is.

ok thanks for the fix, bc i changed out my coolant sensor and s*** the mother f***er start right up but now i have another situation bro. My car would idle at 900-800 rpm and then ill give it some gas and s*** my car dies? i really dont have a clue wat is the issue now. Thanks for hint!! but do you know whats wrong now? it might be my maf?

my car started so its not my ignition control but now when i give it gas it dies? thanks for the info though but do u know whats wrong with the gas issue thanks

OK i recently did all the maf swap and it seems to have the same problem but now worst. Ok now my motor would not idle no more. when i give it alot of gas the higest it would go is 2000 rpm only. Then it would die after that. It would bog between 500-900 rpm when i let it idle. And somtimes it would die. But it would only idle if my car is cold. when my car is hot it doesnt idle at all. Im thinking its my knock sensor or my tps sensor is f***ed!!! so im not to sure. Ima swap out my 92 ecu with my 91 ecu and let it see if that makes a different. thanks for the patent i will keep ya updated~

good place to start when my ecu went bad i could rev over 2500 without it bogging down changed it and good as new

i changed it back to my old ecu and there it goes lolz, it can rev up to 4000 and higher! however, my idle is at 200 now so i think its my timing or could be my maf too bc when im done rev my car it dies after that. gosh so hard to do. however, im not sure. ill do my timing again and see. and tell me my old ecu from my 91 is a 26 thats the number on my ecu 91 and my 92 ecu is a 28? does it matter

if its running perfect just adjust your idle screw until its around 750-800

ok sorry to bother you again hahaha will i did adjust the idle screw which is next to the IACV correct? will nothing changed? will to day i took off my TPS sensor or at least thats wat i think it is the sensor right next to the throttle body correct and i tryed to start it and it started up but of course it idles still at 200 and dies if i give it gas? not sure that was suppose to happened but yea. so now im thinking it could still be my maf not sure how to test my maf and or my fuel pump it seems as if fuels kept on getting cut off? i smell gas though? and i putted fuel injected cleaner in my car and still its not helping lolz? any ideas? if i could ill up load a vid that would most help!!!

with that sensor off it wont be able to rev up it doesnt read throttle position at ideal but as soon as it moves it and the maf control your fuel delivery.

the tps is like 45 bucks and the maf i have one id sell u for 40 plus shipping, and the fuel pump is around 100 so start from the bottem and work your way up

and i doubt its the fuel pump when they go out they go completely out not to give enough to idle

i got a question due to my idle issue? i took off my iacv the whole thing and the gasket that is in between the iacv and the intake manifold was bad! is this the reason for my idle issue?

ok do u have pay pal i really dont want to send money order! it takes to long for your maf. im not sure whats really wrong with my car but after i cleaned my IACV with Carb Cleaner im able to idle at 600-400 very rough. i can gas the car and it wont die but if it gets to hot then it dies? so im not sure what is wrong with my car but im hoping that if i buy your maf and i install it to my car then its all done!!!!! ready for smog lolz!! hope so

ok ill be sending money soon as possible since i have money issue at this point but ill let u know when ill be sending it so how much total so i could just send that amount? add everything up the? the maf? and the sensor for the iacv?

never mind just the coolant sensor would be fine no iacv i think i got a spare one thanks just the maf and the coolant sensor?
