My ka24de will not stay running

I have a 93 249 sx with a ka24de motor. I have been chasing this problem all around the car. At first I was not gettind fuel to cylinder 3, i replaced the injectur. I was then told my fuel pump was bad replaced it. when I put the fuel lines back on (I'm so stupid) I put the lines on backward. In turn I figured I took out the pressure regulatur. I replaced it. I have compression, spark, and wet plugs. I can get it to start with starter fluid when I spray it in the intake manifold. Could it be bad gas? I tryed to but some HEET and 93 oct gas in it on top of (what I think is sour gas). I this my problem on should I look somewhere else?

it was running good for 2 years. i was getting 30mpg out of it. I drove the car for the first year than got hit in the back. I parked it up at my shop and would start it at least 2 times a week and let it run for about 30 min. I pulled it into the shop did an oil change, plugs, did some mud work on the fender, and small odds and ends(put the battery tie down back on, and replaced some inside trim). I pulled it back out into the lot let it run for about 15 min.( it was running top notch) when i went to pull it back in to finish up the body work the next day i could not get it start back up.

thanks for all the help. It was the distributar. It was nit telling the ECU it was giving spark so the ECU shut down the fuel injectors. Go figure. Once again thanks to anyone who a least read this post!
