My KA24de doesnt want to fire up

Hey guys ,

I need your help badly. I pulled my Motor to install few gasket, mounts etc. I got everything installed and the car wont fire up. First we started it and it back fired thru the intake . Distributor wasn't timed so we timed that. After went to fire it up, it cranks but no spark. Fuel it getting there and filling the cylinder like normal but no spark. So i bought new cap, rotors and plugs but no wires. Put it all back together and fired her still no spark. So i took out the plug connected it to the wire and held it against the body and spark did come out but wasn't blue it was like orange. Before i replace the wire i want to see if you guys have any ideas.

Before pulling it out it have IACV problem which i replaced. The connector to the Distributor clip broke but still plugs in. The wires also had small part exposed but i put some electric grease and taped it up with electric tape.

Any ideas guys. I really need to get this car running soon.
