Yeah, I read a lot about the Turbo zy's, they're crap. But there are a few guys that are making good power on the XS turbo's, and I haven't really heard any bad stuff about them. But I guess I will be another test dummy.

They are both made in China. Problem with the turbos are the material they use do not hold up.

the chinese turbo's don't hold up at all. I have had mine for 3 months and 2 compressor blades have chipped off and gone into my motor. 2k motor down the drain cause of those POS turbo's. DONT RISK IT!!!

The clearence could definetly have been better. It's almost kissing the Master Brake Controller, and it was close to the power steering resorvoir, so I moved the resorvoir, and I bought a S14 Brake Contoller, Which is supposed to free up some space. But even if I didn't buy that I would be able to mount the downpipe by just bending up on of the lines. But I feel better doing it the other way. As far as the FMIC, my 5 psi is only the beggining. The next parts I will be getting is a Z32 MAFS, Enthalpy ECU Tune, and Deatschwerks 650cc injectors.I got to taking the oil pan off yesterday, what a ***** that was. I ended up loosening the motor mounts, jacking up the Motor, then dropping the swaybar. Mostly just time consuming. But it was really cool to see my crank, connecting rods, and the bottom of my pistons.Sorry for the long speech, and thanks for all the comments

I loosen the mounts, and trans mount, then jack up the trans. It's not too bad. Anyway, also, I would like to know how the WG holds up. I am on the fence about buying one, and I think I will and just modify it if I need to.

Many people complain about how it is prone to causing severe boost creep. This is most likely a diaphragm issue, since if the disc didn't seat correctly, then boost would take a while to build. It could warp, and bind but only close inspection while hot would tell us that. The diaphragm seems like a place where they might go cheap, and end up burning a hole in it. If that were the case, it could cause that kind of creep. So I would use a TiAL diaphragm.

Yeah, I'm going for 350whp when I get my whole setup running. I would like the peace of mind of having a tuned ecu. I'm going to buy all three at once (Injectors, ecu, z32Maf) probably be about $900-$1000.

No, I mean the SSAC units seem to be clones of TiAL units. And knowing what I do about counterfiet parts, they will be designed in such a way that parts will be interchangable, but will likely use a cheap diaphragm that will cause a boost leak internally, causing the spike that everyone fears.

The ZY"s are the awful turbos. awful awful awful turbos.

XS's are just another name for SSAC, which we all know are a risky option. Some people have great luck, others...well, not so much.

Ok, a Little update. I got my Oil pan bung welded on ( 5/8 Barb fitting) and Oil feed line is installed. Also got the boost gauge hooked up, and my e-fan rewired with a thermo switch. I'm going to put the pan back on on friday. Hopefully by then I will have my intercooler and piping. Still waiting on a bunch of parts. But it's coming along. I included some more pics. I would post them directly if I knew how.
