I got arias 8.8 pistons, crower cams, and enthalpy ecu tune mated to the IAP turbo kit which has a t3/t4.

FLOYDS13 with his budget setup on stock motor is at 5psi(with a small turbo kkk27 porsche). I'm at 10psi. 3rd gear he jumped me and was half a car in fornt before I hit throttle. and then slowly started to go past him at the end of 3rd....So last night on a deserted road by my house I did a couple pulls. My 4th gear is faster than 3rd gear.

I have trouble taking off sometimes and then it picks up and goes big time... Today my a/f ratio was perfect in the high 11's low 12's compared to low 10's the other day. Car feels like it is holding back power.My safc reads knock of like 30-60 but then it reads 0 the next second, I know it doens't give a real reading, but could it be retarding my ecu??Really think this has something to due with timing.Really confuses me on how 4th pulls harder than 3rd.... I know pisotn CP but does it affect that much??Any insight???

*Update* Just went for a cruise and car was at 10.8-11.1 under boost...and right before redline it jumped to 13(could of been me lifting off the throttle)Did a couple pulls and it stayed at 11.1 Going to remove some fuel and go from there.

safc reads and displays knock??? what model do you have? i have the first digital lcd safc. if thats the one you have can you tell me how to get that on mine?

SAFC I does not read knock. SAFC II does. But it read knock off the factory sensor so it's not accurate, mine is at 2 then jumps to 67 then is 3 then is steady at 41 then dorps to 0. Get a MDS knock sensor, think they are like $100.

yeah i found out earlier that only the safc2 displays knock. i just installed my apexi ITC today, so 15 psi here i come!

whats your timing at, what are you using to control it. I remember a long time ago on my first KAT setup I had 50 trim running like 11 psi and it was quick but not what I expected. I ended up bumping timing alot (my timing was way retarded) and the car just came alive. It seriously felt like over 50whp had been added. It would spin my 275's to redline in second gear on a shift after the timing bump ( it was like 10 degrees too retarted though, something like 8 degress total timing)

Dont want to thread jack, but I have an SAFC 2 and have the same problems with my knock numbers all over the place. One minute its at 5, then itll hit 20, then 0. I was always thinking this meant my knock sensor was toast. Possible?

That little bit means nothing. Vibration froma wore out motor mount can make your knock sensor go haywire. Driving normally my knock is around 35-60. under boost it is under 10 lol.When you set knock on your safc the 1st time determines on how sensitive it will be. My friends never reads more than 5 knock at any time. The other night against to SS camaro mine went up to 256 when my card started messing up. Any disturbance in the engine will read knock, even a perfect running engine it will read the combustion of the fuel an show knock.
