the oil cooler is for the engine oil right? and did you use your ebrake pedal as your clutch since you relocated your ebrake?

oil cooler is for the trans. i just put caps on the ports and pulled the hard lines out.

as for the clutch pedal i got the whole pedal assembly out of a 300zx parts car. i had to drill 2 bolt holes and a 1.5" hole to mount the master cylinder. the master cylinder bolts to the pedal assembly through the firewall. the 2 small holes are where the studs on the clutch pedal assembly go through the firewall and the master cylinder slide onto it from the engine bay.

the 2 studs sticking out is where the bottom of the e brake assembly mounted. i utilized the top mounts for the top of the clutch pedal and had to make a brace to use both bolt holes at the top.

Nice...that's what I lilke about J30s...they force you to be original instead of doing the same cookie-cutter mods

yah i had to remove some control units to be able to drill the holes. biggest pain in removing the dash was the connector on the back of the clock.

this is a random question, but does a garden hose nozzle have to do with a transmission swap?

This is awesome. I've been wanting to do this to my car for a while.

One question, is there enough room to move your foot for the clutch? It's already cramped down there as it is.

(btw, I used to have an account on here "MidwestDriftShop" but I decided to make a new one. It's probably been years since I've been in here)

I wear size 13 shoe and I have no issues shifting.

Now that I have a slight pause with my time I ll start writing up a document on what I did for the swap.

Here is a link to some dyno pulls after the swap. Gained 13rwhp and 16ftlbs of torque http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5wgxd28dzM

Looks decent, it's not pretty but I bet its fun.

Sounds like a great project and it's easier than rebuilding the RE4.

Nice gains. That seems worth it just for that!

I've gone through 3 auto's and the 4th is starting to act funny. So I think It's time to try this swap myself.

I'm looking forward to that write up!
