Hello, My name is Michael, and I've been cruising the site for a while for information. You guys are a tremendous help! :) There is such a wealth of knowledge on this site.

Anyways, I never got around to an introduction, so here it is. I bought my obsession a couple months ago. She is a 1997 240sx, S14a, Kouki; whatever you want to call her, she's mine and shes awesome! ;)

I bought her for $5500. She has a rebuilt engine courtesy of an insurance mishap and the Nissan dealership, about 17k miles on it. 180k on the chassis. New clutch, flywheel and throwout bearing. Also, new leather seats! :) I thought it was a good deal. Do you?

I also want to turbo her :) I figure now is the best time, right? I'm still pretty new to this though, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm just looking for a mild setup. 200hp maybe 250. I need a dependable daily driver for college that isn't too bad on gas. Thank you in advance and it's good to be a part of NICO! ^.^

Already representing haha :chuckle:

I had to cover up the ugly falling apart steering wheel. +10hp haha. It's a wheelskins if anyone is interested. I didn't wanna lose my airbag for an aftermarket wheel lol.

New leather seats. :)

Interior. I had to do something about the door panels. They still had the grey fabric, and didnt match with those seats anymore. I promptly ripped them out and put in some red vinyl I found at a fabric store.

Well.. That's pretty much it. I'll always be improving her. Let me know what you think? I would really value the opinion of other 240 fanatics ;) Also, your input on my turbo setup? Thanks and glad to be a part of such a great community!

That looks pretty good. have you checked out ka-t.org? they have some good info on there about what you will need, as well as the ka-t section on here. good luck!

Thank you! :) Yes, I've browsed a bit. I found a local deal on a T-25 kit, with an SR20T-25, intercooler, walbro fuel pump, SR injectors, safc2, and manifold for $500. Good Deal? I already have an safc2 and sr injectors, so I'm thinking sell the other safc and injectors for $200-300? Thanks! ^.^

I want those seats. Good deal on the car. 250 should be easy, especially since you don't have to worry about rebuilding it

I love the seats! :) Hott in the summer heat though :/ It actually has that "new car" smell with the leather. Thank you for your input :) I hope to get a setup soon.

Haha, Thanks man. Yea, I wish the bumper was red too. I'm not sure if they can match the paint on it or what. I don't have the money now for the whole car though. Books ate me alive. :(

Matching paint is nothing for a good auto shop. I had my driver side front panel and bumper pulled off, hammered out, bondo'd and matched to the factory burgundy all for about $200. A bumper respray shouldn't be any more than around $70 if you sand it down yourself.

And wow, That's not as bad as I was thinking on the painting.. will they be different colors once the bumper fades? I didn't know if it was like regular paint, if you match faded paint, it won't be once that itself fades. :gotme
