Well ive been lurking nico for a few months now and I figured id introduce myself. My names gary. Ive been into 240s for awhile. My first one was a 89 coupe that was pretty beat up. I only paid 50 bucks for it so I couldn’t pass it up lol. I ended up parting that out. Then I came across my car I have now. it’s a 1991 le hatch. Ive had it for about 2 months now. The kid I got it off of drove it into a curb exploding the rim and destroying the tension rod and control arm. Which he felt he could have his friend weld it back together. Great idea. Not. Well because of that it pushed the wheel back in the fender well and sunk in. he thought he bent the frame. As soon as I saw the tension rod I knew the frame wasnt bent. So I picked it up. The car wasnt to bad. Among that it had cut springs blown struts and some random pepboys wing (I left the wing in his front yard lol). He ruined a perfectly fine paint job by spray painting it a few colors. Along with tinting every single light on the car solid black. So the day after I got it first thing I did was clean the lights off. I think I used 4 cans of brake clean for that. Then replaced the cut springs for a set of tein stechs and kyb struts and replaced the broken suspension parts. Also got rid of the horrible 17s he had on it. It had no exhaust so I threw on the one I had from my coupe. After that did some maintenance and it stayed like that for about a week or so. I then got a set of g20 wheels to replace the se’s I borrowed from my friend. I decided to try to make it look a little better by painting the car so I did a quick light sand and resprayed it ultra flat olive green. I think it came out ok for basically no prep work. So after about a month of having the car I was dying to go lower so I began to look for a set of coilovers. But then I came across some ka-t parts, then changed my mind about that, and traded my friend the turbo for a set of diamond racing wheels, a thule roof rack, a set of pathfinder fogs, and a bunch of misc stuff. So I threw all of the stuff on. With the wheels my car was screaming moar low. So again I started to look for coils. I got bored and had extra paint so I paint matched the hood and headlight covers. I still need to fix the hatch or replace it. then i get a call, my friend tells me he has a set of coilovers for me. so i go over his house. turns out the adapaters to put the coilovers onto his 300zx didnt fit the coils he had. they are a set of megan racing he told me 200 bucks i took them that day. the next day i tucked the fender harness and installed the coil overs. Now onto the pics. Sorry for the long post lol. (first day i got it)(my friends s14 sr)(idk why i just like this pic)(2x4 barley fits under my lip)once im done with school this will turn into a build thread but for now ill be updateing it slowly as i do little things here and there. i also dont have pics of it yet but i redid my headliner, and am doing my glovebox cover and door cards once i pick up more glue. but as of now the next mods will likely be more suspension parts, a quick release hub and wheel. any hate and love is appreciated thanks

Hey pretty awesome looking car, the wheels fit great with the overall look.

Curious as to where you got the Thule roof rack, did you piece it together or was it a complete unit?

thanks~!

as of right now the engine is staying stock. im just doing all suspension first. then once i grad in june i "plan" to get another car for a daily and tear this down and totally redo the car and put a rb25 into it. haha yea i got bored and moved it around. its staying there i think. appreciate all the comments and i cant wait to do more. i just ordered a set of energy suspension steering rack bushings. mines pretty tore up.
