well thought about doing a front mount but the idea of all that pipping keeps me up at night.. well i thought about doing a top mount... but in front of the engine but behind the radator..and doing it long enough to go from turbo outlet to Tb inlet .... plus pipes to get to and from ..then about 3'' thick .. but do it air to water... nice pump and a decent size little rad. to keep water cool.. that way get cool air and very short pipping.. think it might work

piping is your worst nightmare eh? well put your thought at ease, because you can use silicone piping, very strong, very durable, cheap, no cutting, no welding, no connectors or clams (just 4)

here is one example http://www.roadraceengineering...s.htm

you can find them on eBay as well

no it is not the clamps that is bad it is the lenght ... i don't want the lag... with the above set up and my gt28r i should have near natraul aspired engine responce.. that is what i want... take a 28x30x3 core turn that into a air to water.. and put it infront of the engine... mmm i like it

the only top mount IC kit u can get right now (without MAJOR modifications) is from signal and u have to buy a S15 conversion with it....its not a cheap conversion (runs about 3500 bones) but if u have the money its worth it

What kind of racing are you into? If your only into drag racing, more power to you. If your into any kind of racing where you'll be on the throttle for more than 8-16 seconds, you might want to reconcider.

The Disco Potato turbo is the GT28RS, you can find it online several places. As for what part of the piping you can use silicone hoses for, you can use it for bends or straights, but be prepared to spend a LOT if you do it that way. You still have to have some metal in the system, they cant be clamped onto thin air.

lmao, look at LOTS of D1 drift cars...they're VERY popular w/ that crowd due to better cooling/piping layout...signal auto in cali actually has it listed on their website as something they can do for you

Someone on freshalloy has it done. Signal sells a kit too.

FWIW, many of the race cars you see w/ v mounts also have their engines pushed further back against the firewall (or cut firewalls).

i can't find much info about it.... :(i think if i get a daily driver i will do it, but if not, i will want to keep the a/c and its not worth the trouble to vmount in that case.
