I'm trying to wire up my Defi gauges and after doing it my first try with the wire taps nothing happened(I know I know, might end up soldering them, but these seemed to make a decent connection).

Here's the info I have after some searching and looking at the electrical diagrams in the FSM:

Radio Harness...Ignition 12V+ - Blue wireConstant 12V+(just like a battery connection) - Red/BlackIllumination 12V+ - Red/Blue

Ground on the negative terminal of the battery or chassis.

Just looking for a simple confirmation that my information is correct so I eliminate that as a variable. Thanks guys.

Ok - it looks like my info is correct. My only problem is it doesn't look like I'm getting 12V+ to the Blue wire with the ignition in the ON position. I don't have the deck plugged in, so is that going to be a problem?

Basically, I'm needing a 12V+ source that only comes on when the ignition is in the ON position(wiring up a switch for my fans). Should I tap into the Red wire going to the ignition?
