So I used to own a 240sx.... then got a Tiburon for college. Now that I'm out of college I ditched the Tib. I started this thread as a build thread for the new car.

The old Tiburon:

That's not a bad lookin car, mate. Although it does have a bit of the 350Z look in the C-pillar, and a bit of G37 in the back.

Still, it's a nice ride.

Is that the turbo version? (There is a turbo version, right?)

This car definitely has a lot of the G35-37 in it, there is no denying that. I actually went to the dealership to purchase a G35, but they sold it out from under me...

This car is the 3.8 liter V6. They do offer the 2.0 turbo, but it needs some work to make it quick. The 3.8's are pretty quick out of the box, but once I save up the cash, I might go for a twin turbo setup...

The driving experience is very good IMO. Very comfortable cruiser on long trips (recently been to Chicago and Knoxville, TN). Very predictable car when you reach the limits. It sort of reminds me of my old S13 hatch, but obviously this car is much heavier. Driving in snow is also much better than an average RWD car.

Love the Genesis coupe, I was going to get one but decided on the Altima coupe instead, enjoy.

IMO, genesis coupe, especially the 2010, is a tad sexier than the altima coupe. plus, you can't go wrong with the 3.8 V6 (305ish hp) as opposed to AC's 3.5 (275hp)

Yeah I really like the Genesis' proportions. It's a bigger car, but just the right size.

I have some new pics of the spoiler and tails, but they are too big apparently for the new site format... :?

Thanks guys! I've got a few plans for it this winter.

I'm thinking... intake, headers, pulleys, and a tune. Good headers are some serious $$$$ though....

Thanks guys! I have a few parts in development.

Right now i have a SRI, custom upper intake manifold, and a custom tune on the way. (also a few carbon fiber engine bay pieces)

Hoping to hit the 290whp mark with that.

Much appreciated.

Where in WI are you from? Last year I moved from Knoxville, TN... and there is such a small car culture here. It's unreal!

I'm in Green Bay, the car culture here is mostly dominated by guys in their 60's with some pretty awesome muscle cars that never actually make it out of the garage. There is a few people in town that have some pretty nice rides though. I know there is a race track somewhere in the area around Green Bay that will do open track days, but I forget where its at. Where in WI you at now?

I'm from Appleton. I think I know where you're talking about WIR? Possibly Road America?

I've actually been to both (tried to drag race at WIR, but every day I go it freaking rains). My girlfriend and her dad race at Road America a couple times a year so I make that trip in the summer.

BTW, I'm digging the EVO. I thought about snagging one in blue.

Well my brother's machine shop is sourcing a stock factory intake manifold to take measurements, but they have a very interesting design laid out. I'm guessing we will have to go through 3 or 4 designs before we get good numbers. I'm curious to see what kind of gains it nets us.

The tune will probably be a custom Seoulful Racing Tune for about a 15-20whp gain alone.

Those tail lights are a HUGE improvement over stock. Very nice.

Yeah no kidding. The only issue is that the turn signals were almost invisible in direct sunlight, so I sold them. But I'm looking to do a custom alternative with some DIY kits online.

In other news:
-I removed the blue rear lip spoiler and added a CF roof spoiler. I'll admit it does nothing but I like it.
Image

- Waiting on Maintec Headers and ECU reflash will follow shortly (ETA 1 month)
- Complete set of NST lightweight pulleys have been ordered
- CP-E short ram will be on for my first track day in April.
- I've sourced a factory LSD from a wrecked track model

Busy couple of months.

Actually folks since there is some actually knowledge on these boards maybe you can provide some helpful insight..

I have two header options that I have the opportunity to snag. Both would be nearly the same price, but two very different designs and I'm not entirely sure the benefits of each one (or if it even matters).

Seoulful Racing headers (supposedly equal length)
Image

Maintec headers (simple design)

Does anyone know if one design is inherently better? I believe the first set boasts better mid-range torque but no one has confirmed it. I would be getting the Seoulful headers used and about $500 off retail and the Maintec's brand spankin' new. Any opinions?

That's what I ended up going with, and they came in today. Great condition and decent price considering what they cost new.
