So I put the hub on and get the steering wheel hooked up and then I go to crank it and move it around to the garage where I can work on it easier. (wire up the horn etc.)
However, while waiting on the hub my car sat for about 2 months after getting the Walbro pump installed and now she won't start. *tear*
Details are as follows...
-stock ka24e with no emissions equipment except the EGR valve-walbro 255 lph pump-it was running rich when I parked it (duh.)-new wires -new distributer cap-new cooling sys.-optima red top battery (in hatch)-the car has mostly just sat for the past 4 years (this may be catching up to me) with me cranking it and moving it around everyonce in a while when I had a steering wheel.
-the car turns over once then dies (every now and then but mostly the starter just grinds) -all 4 plugs have fuel on them-it sounds like it's going to fire after sitting for a few minutes-my batter ground and cables are good. No corrosion.-fuses are good
-I don't think the fuel pump is automatically flooding the engine (I just want to move it a 100 yards I'm not going to drive it around like this.) since it ran fine after I initially installed it. I'm not discounting this though.-Exhaust smells like raw fuel-I had a small vac leak when I parked it but it wasn't bad. It would idle for a few seconds then die if I didn't have my foot on the gas. I just tightend all of my block offs.
Since all the plugs have fuel on them I don't think it's an injector problem.
Personally I don't think I'm getting spark to any of the cylinders but could this be a MAF or intake problem?
I guess I need to check my coil and such. The rotor looks good.
EDIT: I can hear the pump come on when I turn the key on.
