Not as bad as the one Poyz had.

A fairly new illegally parked Honda in a no parking fire zone on a narrow street in an apartment complex.
Parked about a foot or two out from the curb.
I'm passing the Honda at about 10 MPH when suddenly
She opens her drivers side door into my front passenger side headlight.
The headlight, the fender, the bumper the passenger side door the right front wheel and on and on to a long list of required replacement parts to the tune of $4900 damage to my beloved G
No one was hurt, She yelled at me as if it was my fault but eventually calmed down and apologized prior to the police arrival.

So I'm driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala for the next two weeks.

As upsetting an accident is we both agreed after she calmed down that thankfully no one was injured and both vehicles will get fixed.
I've read of cases in Florida where carrying guns in vehicles is allowed is people getting shot or killed over traffic accidents.

Speaking of losing control of the situation

Back to the pimpala

The pimpala does display tire pressure in each tire. At 80 MPH the engine is turning 2k RPM compared to 4k RPM in 6th gear in my G

The vehicle does kind of suck and I would never buy one. No Bluetooth, No Sirius radio, and it took me a few minutes to figure out where the wipers were in the dark as there was no stalk on the right side of the steering wheel. Who would have guessed its on the turn signal stalk? No locking gas flap or sunroof either. The Air Conditioner is powerful in the 90 + degree NJ heat. Doesn't corner as well as the G on Turnpike ramps.

Glad you're OK! I get nervous when I pass those parked cars...did she get a ticket? How does it work for insurance?

No she did not get a ticket.
The patrolman did state that they only showed up because they were not busy, It only took an hour for them to arrive. The accident occurred on private property. The apartment complex

I would hope the h0nd@ lady is at fault for this accident. Illegally parked, not checking mirrors when flinging a door open, driving a h0nd@, parked far away from curb, woman, etc. Oh the Impala only revs at 2k because no one wants to hear a messy half-a** engineered pushrod V6 operating within earshot.

So, on a public street, that would have been her fault, like any other merge onto a street.

How'd insurance take it, being that it was on private property?
