my hood pops up when i go over a big bump...wat to do?

.....jus a few days ago after i was dun replacing my led lights...knowticed that my hood pops up when i go over a big bump and i can even pull it open from the outside....i was wondering that the wire may be toooo loose....how do i tighten it?.....HelP....

if it feels like loose cut the cable to length and get some butt connectors and crimp then in.
