[moved]my heater doesnt blow heat!

so my heater doesnt blow heat or ac i think its the motor. all it does is make a squeeling noise then only little air comes through. how do i fix??

if its the motor. replace it. the bearings may be shot in it thats why it squeels and turns slow.

The motor is the blower box behind the glovebox (remove the glovebox first). Take the motor off and see if it spins when you turn on the air. Watch your fingers when you turn it on

Also, get a digital multimeter (or any voltmeter) and check the voltage on the motor's connector. If the voltage is good (12votls), your motor is shot.

I had your problem on my '89 240 and I was able to save the motor. My friend's dad literally took apart the electric motor, we cleaned the contacts inside , greased the bearings, and put it back and it was fine! If your motor is shot you have nothing to lose - take it apart and try to fix it... it could save you $70 for a new blower motor
