I'm glad you're ok. I know it's going to be hard but chin up and best wishes.

Beside, you didn't really own a sport car so don't give up on them yet!

Wow man, glad your gona be ok.

1st - Tbird is really showing his real colors on here. Your are a real jerk. To even think that someone is better off dead is messed up.

2nd - Everyone on here keeps talking about the seat belt. Im from WI and its a law here to wear your seatbelt, but is it by you? If its not a law, then people need to lay off. Even if it is a law, Tbird needs to step up and take responsibility for the damaged he cause you.

Tbird, you keep saying he wouldnt have been so hurt if he wore is seat belt. Well there are probly a bounch of things that COULD have happened to make this not so bad. ie people swerving last min..... and other things.... Well what it all comes down to is these are the injeries he sustained because YOU hit him. He isnt hurt becuase he didnt wear a seat belt. I have drove many times without wearing a seat belt and I dont have any injeries. If I would have been in a car accedent I would, but those injeries would be the falt of the person that hit me. Sure a seat belt couple have helped, but none the less, its your falt.

Thunderbird, go back to your other forum. It's pathetic of you to come in here to make a guy who is very lucky to be alive feel like sh**. His only real fault was no seatbelt, and he knows that. Seatbelt or not, he wasn;t ending that night peacefully. It wasn't in his control. When someone crosses paths with you there's only so much you can do in that split second. I don't think his wife would have married him if she didn't truly care about him, therefor I'm pretty sure she would much rather him be alive than dead right now. I'm also sure it's not a pain for her to take care of him and "put up" with him being "crippled". Your a piece of s*** man. I have never seen such a di** on this forum until now. Why the f*** would you start arguing about what's a sports car and what isnt? Who the hell cares? are you 12 years old? Get a life and grow up.

To the op, I hope you're recovering well. I can only imagine what kind of pain your in. Your extremely lucky and you should appreciate everything you have even more than you might have before.

Sorry to hear you got hurt man, that looks bad. My buddy crashed last week and luckily avoided a pole (otherwise it would have likely been an instant death).

I do have to say though, WEAR YOUR f***ING SEAT BELT!

and hoffman can account for me he knows of the story and knows some of my friends.

I was is a very bad roll over compared to the OP's accident. We were speeding ( i think i don't remember i was knocked unconscious) in a 2001 Camero, police report said 140+ and we were t-boned by a drunk underage girl. My friend tried to control the car but we spun out in the ditch and rolled 14-20 times for 200 yards. The worst things about the wreck was there were 3 people in the car the girl in the back seat was killed( my friends fiance), and my brother fresh from Iraq was on his bike and saw the whole thing, a hardened war veteran, and was crying when i saw him in the hospital. i woke up in the car next to my friend hanging half out the driver's car door and the girl laying across the back seat that moment is seared in my mind for ever. I broke my arm clean, chipped teeth, lacerations on my head, 2 black eyes, cuts and bruises, and i'm still pulling glass out of my arms and hands 5 months later.

http://www2.dothaneagle.com/de...3876/they never found his doorthe rearmy side of the carthe area of impact ripped the wheel and axle off at the diff and those are solid axle cars never foundand this is later that day after some of the swelling had went down sorry about the cell phone pictures that's all we took of the car with all the crazy things going on with the police and what not

That's a crazy crash... it's crazy that the girl that t boned you was able to do so, considering you were going over 140mph. Talk about horrible timing. What happend to her?

Good thread to bump. I've been wondering how things have been going with you, Evil Inside. How is your recovery going or how did it go? What are you driving now?

I really hope you are doing alright!

thanks all,,,,

i still have plenty of pain in my right ankle and some in my knee occasionally. walking with a permanent limp, but no more cane or crutches (dropped the cane 2 weeks ago). 8 months on lortabs, still get refills whenever i run out.

my insurance company settled out with me, to the policy limit, and the first thing i bought was a SAFER replacement vehicle. 07 GMC sierra Z71 4X4 extended cab.

put some up, paid everything off, and i've been back working since April 2nd.

broke a screw a few days after i went back to work, but it doesn't look like anything is going to be done about it. at least for now.

haven't found my next project car,,,,,but haven't looked much. it's tough for me to get up and down on the ground, so i haven't done much auto work, and probably won't for a while.

got rid of the wife's little nissan versa, took a hit on it since we bought it new and only had it 1 yr....

don't ask me,,,,this is what she wanted....

still walk with a limp, lots of pain in my ankle. orthopedist says it's as good as it's gonna get, the bone is completely healed, but it's all the scar tissue and muscle damage that's causing me so much pain. switched off the lortabs a couple months ago, been on tramadol since. looking to move to something with less "withdrawal symptoms" than tramadol, and less liver damage than lortab.

still driving the truck,

but the wife got tired of the mustang falling apart (no surprise) so we traded it in for a mazda RX8 GT. it's a BLAST to drive, 6 speed, 1.3L with over 200hp, and 9Krpm redline. i rarely drive it,,,,,it is of course her DD.

Did you end up suing the guy who hit you for your lost wages? It is pretty much a guaranteed win since he was without license and insurance.Even if he could not pay, the court will garnish his wages. MMMM GARNISH.
