im a autocrosser at heart but my buddy picked up a new 2009 SRT8 Challenger this week and wanted to take it to the strip. i figured i would go with him just one time to say i tried it in the GT-R

the Results

7.660 @ 95.850 in manual mode 1.95 60 ft shifting just right before redline7.674 @ 96.570 in auto mode 1.99 60ft auto shifted at 6600

then i did just one with launch control 7.393 @ 96.1 and a 1.73 60 ft . it pulled right over 1G of acceleration for over 2 seconds. in the vid you can see without L/C it pulled right under 1G for about a second. i was quite proud of myself on that one and wont be using it again as i learned all i needed to know

a quick vid my buddy took some of my practice runs working on trying to time the cars hesitation from a stand still with the yellow to green light....... oh and and vs his challenger

enjoy guys

Matt, great times! I would consider a GT-R but don't like hearing of people breaking them and having the warranty voided due to using launch control

Welcome to NICO!

Chris, don't feel bad. The G did a best of 2.100 with a 8.967 1/8th

My best 1/8th so far is a 7.61@91. I was running 20psi of boost with stock cams and I had a 1.6 60'. I wil be running the 1/8th tomorrow for the 1st time with the cams and 25 psi of boost. Also playing with my gearing and tires. 24.5" and 26" wrinkle walls with the 3.91 gear instead of the 4.36.

Clarksville TN 1/8th mile track runs every Saturday from 1-dark. Wasn't much of a turnout but I ran 7.60's@93 every pass at 21psi on 93 octane and beat up on a Monte Carlo with a 383 and a 3500 stall. He was running 8.3's! They are starting after x-mas running at 6pm on friday and 1pm on Saturday. I would like to race your LS1, it should be very close. You need some wrinkle walls or some MT ET street radials. The nittos don't compare to a MT drag radial IMO.

What size rims do you run and complete tire size and curb weight? My 300z b4 upgrades dyno at 375whp 380tq @13psi had to get out of throttle at 5500rpm due to leaning. I am new to the track and need rim and tire guidance I have upgraded since the dyno see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5xqmjKe ... _pageCheck DVcustomZ ON YOUTUBE. i SPIN Through 3rd gear on 18" rims 245-40-18 on the track with a .753 R/T (I know horrible I was more so reacting to the other guy first time on track) I ran a 12.802 I was literaqly all over the place like riding a bull. I have an est 460whp 450tq will record new dyno what do you suggest for tires

This is the tire you need http://store.summitracing.com/...w=sku

Put them on your stock Z32 wheel and you can drive to the track and hook 500whp all day long. As for my car, it weighs 2570lbs, my tires are 26x8.5x15 MT drag slicks and I played with some 24.5x8.5x15 M&H racemaster slicks but I like the MT better. I am about 800lbs lighter than a Z32TT and they usually need north of 500whp to keep up at the track.
