My grille has road rash

Has anyone ever brought in their G to get the grille replaced under warranty for having road rash? My leased 2007 with 15k miles has way too many pits in the plastic chrome. None of my other 3 G's had this affliction. Just curious if anyone else has had success with this before I charge in with the pistols drawn ?

Yes, I did mine. I had the 07 G35X from November 06. I had like 50+ pits in January 07. Nothing on the paint around the grill. So I went in and told them my problem. They told me first yeah it is chipping maybe because I tailgate. So I told him to come out to the car with me. He came withme and showed him on one spot where I was able to pill the damn "chrome" off by hand. Also I asked him if he can see any chipping on the pant around he grill. He did not asked any other questions after. He told me they order the part and replace it. I've got replacement after about a week. It was holding up verry good after that. Some people were not that lucky tho. They had the same problem with the replacement.

Chrome should hold up a lot better then the paint. Especially when we talk about Infiniti paint. My 08 has only one tiny pit on the grill. Nothing on the paint.

Hope this helps. Get it replaced. It is the ****ty chrome plate on the plastic. It looks like they did not clean the plastic before plating and it comes off too easy.

i made the dealer replace mine 6m after i got her but the replaced 1 is holding up still looks new
