sounds like a transmission problem
don't recromend a flush
going to need a new transmission soon... really wierd it has a grinding sound going into reverse.... your completely stopped when you go into reverse?
your transmission should have a drain plug on the bottom of the pan, just take that out and when its done draining put it back and fill with new fluid
mercon/dexron III is what you want, and you will need 3-4 quarts if you don't have any leaks...
check fluid level in Park, after refilling, start car, put gear selector in each position for 3 seconds going from P-R-N-D-2-L-2-D-N-R-P and leave car running, take out dipstick, whipe clean, re insert, take out and notice fluid level... add in 1/4 quart amounts as nessecary... and if its not on the stick at all add another quart and continue the process....
