I've had several requests for this, so here it is:

Here are pics of my Ghetto-Fabrication skills. Its a starion FMIC. I couldnt find a welder in the area that would work with aluminum, so I made my own input/output tubes from aluminum tubing, a dremel and JBWeld. Believe it or not, it held 10psi for over a year.

Fast forward to 3 months ago. JBWeld broke on 1 side, so I fiberglassed it (while it was on the car noless). A couple of fridays ago at the track, the other side broke. Working materials were scarce and only a grocery store was open, so I bought some epoxy, saturated a piece of t-shirt in it, and made my repair. It held vaccum..but it got me home.

T-shirt repairMore T-shirt repairFiberglass holds 12psi no problem

Out with the old....

Maybe ghetto but if it held boost for over a year... I respect that. Anyway, is that your new intercooler below? Looks nice, anyway, you're not the only one with black intercooler, I painted mine black.

Ahh how useful fiberglass is:) I don't know about you guys but its my "duct tape". Did you use any certain paint for spraying the intercoolers, slo?

I think it was just some gloss black paint I had laying around (i have a few dozen misc. colored cans). Dont remember any specifics

The Spearco was painted when i got it. A honda owner had it before me. Its flat.
