You need fuel, spark and compression. You actually have no idea how much damage was done in the accident. Do a compression test on each cylinder, check your ignition system for spark, and check for fuel pump pressure. There is an online shop manual but having the printed version makes things much easier.
Or as an alternative, I assume you saved a bundle on the purchase so you could alocate a few hundred to have the vehicle checked out at the nearest dealer? If you go this route, take good care of the service guy $$$ so perhaps they won't stick it to you in costly repairs. I recently discovered that if you purchase parts yourself & then give them to service for installation you can save some money because of the different markups between an over the counter parts purchase vs what service is charged for the same item .
Did you ever check the oil?
