Hi everybody....

I'm new to the club, but i have an FX-45 (black/black)....

Sorry Rick, that brick interior is just not doing it for me. Mike K is an excellent salesman tho!

:ylsuper

Anyways... the car rocks, so far (although it is not yet broken in).

Here's what the car looks like (so far):

I just got the windows tinted this morning. Next mod:

1) new rims with aggressive tires (Toyo/Nitto/Yokohama)

2) Top secret exhaust mod

3) Intake upgrade

Anyone have any news on the mod chip that will allow you to play DVD's on the front monitor?

Yes sir.... I got the G35 last month (actually it's my sister's). That thing is sweeeeet. I took it up in the Milpitas hills and made the SLIP light blink SO MANY TIMES. hehehehe.

In that car you can take hairpin turns with ease and it's takeoff is the best.

We just got that one tinted as well and it looks vicious. My FX-45 looks like a hearse... hehehe

Next step on the G35:

18" rimsNismo Exhaust upgrade

I'll let you all know what's up when it happens.

Wow - nice.I understand about the brick not doing it for you; it's a little different. But it pushes my button - that's what makes the world go 'round!

Please keep us posted about the mods you're doing. I'm not as aggressive as you are, but once you prove they work, I'm definitely interested :D

Oh, mine came with the roof rails. But I prefer the appearance of the ones I've seen without the roof rails. I asked the dealer - he said they can't be removed; something about how they are integrated into the roof. I suspect it would leave some holes that would require some additional parts. So... if there are any black fx35/45 owners who don't have the roof rails and want them, maybe we could talk about a swap...

I'd love to see that mod on the DVD player, would also like to see some changes in the Nav system (which i think is awesome as is.) I'd like to see a way to get rid of the nag screen. Getting really tired of "agreeing" every time I start the car.

Didn't yours come with the windows already tinted? Mine did. I wonder if different interiors have different window treatments?

Looks like picture resolution is limited to 400x400 (except for mods).

Happy driving!

Rick

hey rick...

Ya, mike K was telling me about your plans for the back up camera.

My windows came tinted just like yours, but i wanted it completely pitch dark so i tinted it even more.

I'm selling my 20"'s rims if anyone wants to buy it!!!!

I want to know too, because I'll want to at least do a drop in air filter. Are you guys expecting one from Nismo or are there other good Nis/Inf aftermarket performance companies. I'm not too familiar with Nis/Inf stuff. I would use something from Rod Millen or Stillen if they have it.

He may be going to 22's or even 24's...wow...I'd really have to see that.

My dad told me yesterday that he saw an FX45 drag race an S-class Benz. Wasn't even close... :-)

What mods did he have to get the extra 30 hp? Is that RWHP on a dyno or the sum of what all the mods say they'll give? He'd have to be turbo'd or SC'd to get that RWHP.I want to see pics if anyone does go up to 22's or 24's.

Dunno the answers to any of that, but putting 2+2 together:

- Top of post he mentions top-secret exhaust mod- Q45 is 345hp, difference largely due to exhaust differences between FX45 and Q45

Paints a picture for me...
