That is all well and good, but a list of good parts does not make a good COMBINATION of parts.

You need to match your parts together to make a strong, cohesive package.

You can throw all the best parts in the world at a car, and still have it run like a pig.

Also, before deciding on a parts list for the engine, CHOOSE the engine first. No point sticking to certain sized injectors and turbo, but not knowing which engine you want to use.

Need more power? Find a way to do that...
Need to stop faster? Find a way to do that...
^Do this.

:slap: I'm ashamed.

ss13turbo I did the same thing you are doing. I had my car for like a year and just maintained it, but when it got hit and i garaged it i started making big (too big) plans for it. I built a list of parts just like you. I saved up and started buying this and that, and then like a week after i bought a part i would be surfing the forums and see a thread about how garbage the part i just bought was.

I had a big pile o parts (cost me lots o money) and started to get to work. While i was doing the SR swap, i realized i had bought parts i didn't even need and couldn't even use. I still have them in a box. So i can either lose some money and time trying to sell them to someone who could use them, or just leave them in the box..( :wtf2: )

Now i have started the engine but it runs like poo. I don't know what is wrong with it, and i am unsure whether i will ever finish it or just sell it as the headache it is. SO, since the engine isn't going like i had hoped, i have a box of PSM coilovers, 4 Rota P45R's, set of drilled/slotted rotors(didn't need these at all), and a Kaaz 2-way LSD sitting in my bedroom teasing me, waiting for a 240sx worth installing them on.

If i could give everything i bought back, the SR and all the swap parts (half of which i WANTED and didn't NEED), the suspension/brakes, and the LSD and get all my money back, i would do it in a second. But i am not going to get what i paid for them so i am holding onto hope that i will fix my s***(that mess in my sig) or get another 240.

Don't let this happen to you.
Take it one upgrade at a time,
After you buy a car and get it running the way you want it to.
These people speak the truth.

Okay, did my gigantic wall of ignorance filled emo text redeem my free post? :gotme

That was a very helpful tip. I know that im gonna buy the parts 1 at the time and researching the parts before I buy it and that list that I made is jus what its gonna be on my car when im done. So its just like a goal that im hoping to achieve
