When I swapped mine, my alternator was sitting against one of the metal ps lines. This caused it to arc and actually shorted out that relay AND a part of my ECU. I had to get a new relay, then ground it to the chassis to make it work. When I had my rom tune done by JWT, they fixed my ECU, so the ECU now grounds the relay. You may have had something similar happen where you shorted that relay. Out of curiosity, where is your battery?

Also, if your fuel pump is priming, and the car isn't starting, it's unlikely the fuel pump is still your issue. Have you checked the basics? Check fuel at the rail, check spark, check timing, check compression.

May have shorted that part of the ECU. Try looking at the relay. (If you understand electronics.) Ground the piece the ECU would normally ground to close the circuit. If you don't understand the way the relay works, don't try this, but if you do, it may be a temporary fix for your problem until you can
A: Get the ECU repaired or...
B: Get a new ECU

If this doesn't fix it, there's a different issue.

I'm running a wiring specialties harness in my car

I loved it.. Had to extend the fuel injector wires a little, but that's only because I tucked my wiring...

thread resurrection!!

I might have the same problem, and I also have a huge battery sitting on the strut tower jumped to the engine block directly.

What do you mean by "wire the to plugs by the fuse box"

Majority of the time, if your fuel pump is not priming, it's the relay... The wires get disconnected under the fuse box. It's typically easiest just to jump the relay. This, of course, means your fuel pump will not shut off once it is primed. (Your fuel pump will continually run if the key is left on.) If that's not the case, try checking the fuses. Another issue I've seen recently in a friend's S13 is the actual plug at the fuel pump making a bad connection. He cut his plugs and hard wired the pump. If you go with the hard wiring option, there is a write-up in the FAQ.
