So my buddy just got some wheels for his 1998 Nissan 240SX 5 lug..

18x9.5 +35 all around XXR 006 (or sportmax 006)245/40/18 tires

the rear fits fine but the front touches the shock, is there any suggestions? I was thinking spacers but how much spacing would I need to clear? I told him to go staggered but he wanted to go 18x9.5 all around (like mine, but mine are +15 offset) Thanks guys

EDIT: He has stock suspension

20mm spacers all around and call it a day...but it will look silly on stock suspension.

sucks for your friend

Yeah, I would definitely wait to mount them until he gets coils. And for those to be flush with a spacer, you're going to need to run quite a bit of camber and/or pull or overfenders/flairs.

Its ok, no worries! I just ordered some Ichiba spacers for him, so it should be good to go. The wheels look nice though

Yes, it was only a slight hammer, we slightly bent the strut I mean, probably like 1mm or so (it didnt damage anything) because when we got the spacers on the wheels turned but made a cracking sound (because rubbed against suspension) so it only needed 1mm or so to clear.

people stuff wheels that size on 240s WITHOUT hammering the strut... that's just dumb and shows a lack of patience
