So yesterday i got my k&n intake and my friend and i went to install it.

So i started takin of the 3 crazy screws that keep the engine cover on. Well i got the top right one off and while i was doin that one my friend stripped the other one... yea it pissed me off pretty bad. So needless to say i took the intake back and now i cant frickin put my darn intake on or any mods now.

And who the hell decided to use those crazy screws anyways there a pain in the a$$

OK so you stripped a screw? What does that have to do with the rest of the install?

Sorry to hear things went wrong.

Yupp, newer cars are such a B to work on. I agree it was pretty lame when I found out about that third screw. How are you suppose to remove that properly?

Get a vice grip to take it off. That's what I used.

A little overboard buddy, you can still get the screw out it's just gonna take a bit of thought. I stripped one of my engine cover screws as well, but got it out and just zip tied it down until I get another screw. This would not cause you to not be able to put on ANY mods now... it's just a screw dude

What screw are you talking about? I didn't run into any "crazy" screw when I installed my intake.

I don't think so, That screw isn't connected to the factory air box

Honestly, are you talking about the screw at the bottom of the air box or one of the engine cover screws ??? I stripped both but are pretty easy to take both out too

yep its the one on the engine cover. i thought about just ripping the darn thing off cuz i was angry. i tried with pliers but they just keep slipping of the bolt. Why o why did nissan make a circular bolt with a hex thing in the middle to me thats just so stupid.

And wow i just clicked on the SCREW link and that pissed me off lol but in a good way.

and im only 17 so if i told my parents wat i did they probably would killed me lol
