hey guys, i finally picked me up another 91 s13 and ive owned it for 3 days, well last night i get home and go to unlock the hatch and the key snapped with out any force hardley. Does anyone know how i can get a key code for this car with the VIN or any other options? Nissan says they only go back to 98 without a key code. The major portion of the key it still in the trunk lock and i cant get it out, thanks.

If you are lucky the sticker with the key code might be on the inside of the glove box door,if not a locksmith can cut a key using one of the other lock cylinders.

haha my friend did that but in the ignition, if u dont have the key code and cant get it out u can take off the key ignition switch, it riveted on so your gonna have to use a drill bit to take it off and on the back of it where the wires are connected you can pop that off and theres a small slot on it that u can turn. its lik using a key but u just use a screw driver instead. or go to the junkyard and get a new ignition switch.

my locksmith asked for the key to the hatch, sucks that that's the one you broke it off in. should be fairly easy to get off though. It's two screws, and once it is out you should be able to remove the broken key and take that lock to the man and get new keys made. It was 5 bucks for 3 keys here.
