i just bought a 1985 300zx from my friend for 300 dollars. He thought the head Gaskets were blown so he sold it to me, and it turned out to be the cluth on the fan, the fan wasnt blowing any air to cool the car.

But my question is can my car have true dual flow master super 40's? bobbys tire and muffler said no, but other places said yes. Im confused LOL! anyone with a 85 300zx have true duals on it?

fual flow master 40's ??? I have no idea what your talking about I musta missed a class?

if your talking mufflers the passsanger side exhaust crosses over behind the engine and mates with the drivers side manifold to make a single exhaust

if your wanting dual exhaust I gotta recomend against it, to make true dual you'd have to buy headers and modify them to work with dual exahust and even then the starter and slave cylinder are in the way and once you make it to the back you have to navigate arouns the IRS and then I believe the gas tank is in the way, however dynomax makes a nice bolt on mandrel bent cat back system the is amazingly cheap and doesn't sound like a riced out honda and if a big improvement of the stock crush bent setup

Congrats on the purchase. Your car doesn't have true dual so no dice.

Post up some pics.
