hello, everybody! i registered to the boards here a while back, but sadly, i never became active until now, which i feel bad about, since i really love my versa, it's good to be around others who feel the same way about them.

so... my car had the fuel pump regulator problem about two months ago, and it really freaked me out - thanks to this site, though, i searched and learnt what the problem was, and found out that other people had this problem, which lifted some of my worries. took my car to the dealer, they fixed it, no problem.

now that it seems the problem is back, the obvious thing to do is to take my versa to the dealer again, which, though really inconvenient, is necessary. but, i wonder... how big of a problem is this? could i wait until the following weekend to take it? missing work is a big problem to me, and it will start on the second try, and it seems like it's only doing it on cold starts. mainly, how serious is this defect to the car itself? would waiting until next saturday cause damage to my versa? any help is appreciated!

Hi welcome to the forum! When the Versa's started having the problems starting back in early 2007 most dealers didn't know what the problem was.

In my case I drove my V for 900 miles after the long crank began with my V, They when and replaced the entire fuel pump and have not had a problem since.

If however your V starts to stall or quits running while driving immediately have the car towed to the dealer.

If problem #2 is not occuring then yes you can wait one weekend to get your car serviced.

P.S. do you have Nissan Extended warranty? If you do then your dealer will be able to give you a loaner at no cost to you.

well, i just have the basic warranty (it's an 08). hopefully, the dealer can complete the repair on a saturday. when this first happened, i took it on a monday, and took maybe 2 hours to replace the regulator.

has anyone with this problem reported stalling or a complete stop while driving before?
