Just came back from the track with the '40. I think I sucked ***. My best run was a 16.68@ 84mph with an open diff. R/T - .527 60' - 2.558 1/8 - 10.806 How do these numbers look for a stock S13 as far as power goes?

i haven't run my S13 at a 1/4 but i did get to run a 10.7 on the 1/8th mile, with i think a .3xx R/T and a 2.44 60', on a stock not so well running with crappy tires and an open diff S13.

my brother runs ~10.6 on his auto S14, damn nissan makes good auto trannies, they don't seem to loose so much hp as other A/T's.(bone stock S14 with open diff too, better tires than my car and also runs better)

so thats about right on your times, maybe if you cut down on a better R/T and 60' you'll be able to make less time.

BS, ALL new auto trannies completely suck.

Read up on th emuscle car era. A few of the FASTEST cars stock from the factory were AUTOMATICS! THat can't be said for newer cars

i meant the 240sx transmission, it doesn't loose as much hp as other trannies(mustang, camaro, etc, even toyota and others). did say nissan but was meant 240sx.(at least the S14 and S13, seen couple of stock dyno's and theyre both in the 120's-130's rwhp).

and i said this cause on mustangs they loose at least ~10-20 more hp over a manual.(i've also worked on stangs, not just 240's, as my brother used to own 1 till he switched to a vette, which i plan to kill later, with my 240!

R/T don't affect 1/4mile time just whether or not you win.

yeah, 16.7 sounds pretty normal for a stock 240. my stock one did 16.4 so i'd say your right there.
