My audio system is not even close to you guys. But this is my first time work on car audio installation. And I picked my 08 Z to be a guinea pig.

Current setup:

1. Kenwood Excelon DDX 8122. Diamond Audio S600s for fronts3. (2) JL Audio 10W3V34. Alpine PDX 2.1505. Alpine PDX 1.6006. Infinity Reference 6022 for rears7. Rockford Fosgate dual amp wiring kit8. 2-10" Zenclosure

I basically torn my whole interior apart

Finally after about 6 days off work (about 40 hours total), the installation is finished.

Even on the Z, the DDX 812 sticks out like 1/4" The Z has a glove compartment right behind the passenger's seat, so I used that to hide my two amps. The two fans there are used as intake/circulating and there is another fan in the bottom that is for exhausting air. I also have a fan speed controller in there as well. These stuff are from my spare computer parts

Mounted the tweeter at the stock location. I had to custom make the new tweeter to fit since it was way bigger than the stock one.

I mounted the bluetooth microphone close to the rearview mirror, it seemed to be pretty good sound.

And now are the action shots

I WANT!!!!

The night pic looks awesome.

Although I would've tried to find another place for the amps. Always nice to have a glove compartment even one in as odd a place as the Z's is. There is actually a panel behind the drivers side where they put the stock sub in the Z's that came with one. That's probably where I would've tried to put them.

Thanks. That's where I wanted to put mine too, but I didn't want to make any special board to hold the amps in place.

Thanks. The Garmin doesn't hooked up to anything. That's actually built-in with Garmin feature.

You need SWI-JACK interface module to work with steering wheel controls and it does have Ipod connectivity + usb (plays all your mp3 songs).

5V pre-amp and 13 EQ <- awesome!

Setup looks nice. Thanks for helpin me out in my other post. How does the JL 10w3v3 sound. i was getting just (1) for mine but never heard this sub before. only heard a JL10w7 which is going in my z32.

is there a layout of the car that shows where all the screw points are to take off all the panels?

JL 10w3v3's are 500 watt rms each. I sold those V3's and the z enclosure. I bought the JL stealthbox with 2 10W3V2's, which are 300 watt rms each. I went to lower watt rms subs since my alpine pdx 1.600 delivers 600 watt rms total; therefore the 10W3V2's work out better. Plus the JL stealtbox saves a lot of space comparing to the Z enclosure. ^on the door where the the big foam is. I also used double-sided tape and placed them between the crossovers and the doors (to prevent vibration) plus self-tapping screws to hold them down.

Headunit looks great. What mounting kit and surround did you use for the headunit? It fits well as everyone can see from the upclose photo you took.

Sorry, I just saw this question now.
I did the install about 2 years ago and I forgot what kit I bought. I'm guessing it's a Metra kit?

I'm not too familiar with Avic D3.
The microphone by the rearview mirror is hardwired on my Kenwood.

If it is Bluetooth microphone, then mostly it is built-in into the unit. You might have the Bluetooth "disabled" on your D3.
