Hello!
I recently came across some one's car restoration/rebuild and stumbled upon this website. I did not know that car restoration was this popular! It is insane some of the work people on here do to restore there cars! But back to my reason for posting, i just completed my Drivers Ed, and i go to attempt for my full license some time in the next couple weeks, so of course, i need my first car :) I live in Nova Scotia, Canada! I was looking into a 91 240sx,(http://bit.ly/lmO9mq) There's the link for it. And i got really hyped up on it, because iv'e wanted one for so long, but the guy selling it, has yet to return my emails and calls! So i have to settle for something else. I want something reliable, cheap to repair, and fun to drive! So if you guys could tell me about your very first car, and the fun you had with it, that would be great :)

Caleb

Sounds like the Nissan GT-R would be a good car for you. Post pics when you get it..

a skyline would be absolutely amazing, but i only have $2300 because i'm a teenager and the concept of saving money, has yet to hit me! So that is sort of out of the question :(

I got it for a tiny bit more than you have saved. Patience is key.

You'll find a car, just don't settle on something you don't want or something overpriced, wait until you find a deal. I personally love both of my s13s, both were bought for less than you have saved now.
(My first car was a 91 Infiniti M30, it was the bees knees save the auto transmission)

don't settle on your first car you will be constantly fixing other peoples mistakes.

You will find something amazing and look everywhere especially local classified and forum classifieds.

I drove 8 hours to get my first car, if i knew then what I know now, I'd go back a beat my stupid younger self in the face. I still loved my first car but I could have had the same thing and only drove 40mins.

Thanks man, i lived in Saint John for a few years!
As for being patient, i will try my hardest, i've pissed my dad off more than a couple times asking if i could buy this and that car. I'm just so anxious to buy a car! I've pretty much mastered driving standard on my brothers Cobalt. His first car was a 200sx, boy was that thing was fast! When i do get a car, i was thinking ( if i have the money ) to get an oil change, fluid top up, wheel alignment, and new spark plugs. Is this a good idea? Or is some of it unnecessary or is there other stuff done right away also?

that's where i'm living right now, its always a good idea to give a car some tlc, just be careful about rust around this part of the country, that would be one of my main concerns when looking for a 240sx, keep checking kijiji for 240's!
