right now the ride quality sucks anyways the ride is so...mush i guess you can say so coils wont bother me one bit.and yeah after i buy my coils ill have about 500 more dollars from my very last paycheck before school starts so i may be able to do a bit more prob going to throw an exausht on it or buy new rims not to sure tho.and as for paint im going to ask my uncle to help me out there cause he fairly well in that area of expertise.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Nice start. You'll love coilovers if you don't care about ride quality. Big improvement on the handling.
In my opinion, the next mod (after maintenance of course) should be getting it repainted if you can, or even just restoring it if the funds aren't there. You'd be surprised how much of a difference that would make.
x2, Good score for a first car!AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Well, in my opinion, the wheels don't look that bad. They'll look 100x better once it's lowered.
I would get all the maintenance I needed done first. Once that's taken care of, mod away! Good luck dude.
took car of that the first day i bought it. well the only major problem is that my speedo reads double of what im going dont really know whats wrong with it but my guess is the speed sensor.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:

sounds to me as if you have a s13 speed sensor . most likely a former automatic car converted to 5 speed?mystro2424 wrote:

looks like a good starting point. coils will really make you like the car. she needs some work but as long as you are willing to put effort into it it will be worth it.
i have the same problem, how exactly do you fix it... do i just need a new speed sensor sry not trying to thread jacks14derrick wrote:sounds to me as if you have a s13 speed sensor . most likely a former automatic car converted to 5 speed?
im actually not to sure. pretty sure a speed sensor from an s13 into a s14 will make it read double.Crautz240 wrote:

alright thanks for the help mans14derrick wrote:shouldnt be too hard. the sensor is right toward the back of the transmission. i believe it is like one screw holding it in and thats it
