My first car

This sunday me and my dad left at 3 am to leave to ohio to get my first car. i just turned 15 in december but lets face it, i couldnt wait any longer. once i saw some of your 240's i knew that was the car i wanted. so i started looking for one a couple months ago and every one i looked into either had rust or was overpriced. then i found this. so a couple weeks later we finally got a chance to go and drove 15 hours there and back. as you can see its got a body kit and 20mm wide body. no power steering or power windows, and cheap racing seats. didn't like em at first but they're growing on me. he just rebuilt the engine and its got no rust. anyway plans are to get a set of p45r's,sparco wheel, exhaust and a paint job for now. im only a freshmen in highschool so it being a stock motor is fine with me for now. i picked it up for $1,200. anyway here are some pics(gotta get rid of that white)

congrats on the first car. That shift boot is bright white, check out a Nismo dildo knob in white, i think that would look descent.

i see alot of potential in this car, some good suspension,wheels,paint and it would look pretty damn good.

i personally like the "evo" style seats. And $1200 is a pretty solid deal for a midwesternish car.

haha sh*t i forgot my bowl. naw its just a window crank. but nice find. and the red switch is for some fog lights he put on.and yes i know the wire is but i don't have an intercooler. maybe ill paint it black or something we'll see. right now im just shaving some panels and fixing up the interior a bit. i got about $3,000 to put into it plus crass cutting season starts (dont laugh,its good money) so that'll be nice for a change. also the wide body is not all bondo. he got it painted and it looked like sh*t so he sanded it all down. and the doors he put diablo doors on and the doors broke so now i got tan ones. o well...

they actually are pretty nice. i mean i'd much rather have bride or sparco anyday but for cheap seats theyre not bad. they dont hold great but they're def a improvement over the oem seats.

i live right by west. have you drove your s13 through downtown glen ellyn? i saw one like yours a week ago or so at night and i tried to whip a u turn since i NEVER see any. i got soo excited to soo another 240 haha

I think it's great that you and your Dad took a long drive to get your first car!! You'll always remember that! I also think you chose wisely with the 240sx. I'm sure you'll take care of it, but please, be careful driving. No texting while at the wheel and no heavy speeding when you start driving otherwise you'll learn all about how much insurance costs can go up.

My Dad took me to get my first car, but it was at the local dealership, and it was a red 88' 300zx. I got caught speeding while driving that car at the age of 16 and now I hardly ever go 9mph over the speed limit still to this day 15 years later. I usually set the cruise control at 9mph over and I go by the State Police all the time sitting in the median with radar and I never touch the brake while all other drivers do and the Police have never bothered me for it. I did have one flip his lights to say, "slow down" I guess but never put his car in drive. He must have been cleaning crumbs out of the seat.

Anyway, I'm happy for you that you got the car you wanted! Have fun with it, BE SAFE, and I hope you make a lot of cash cutting the grass! You gotta start somewhere.

good luck with it man, my 240 was my first car that is going to be my dd, just dont get mad over problems, it happens. i got fuel problems, rust problems and water leaking in the sunroof. Just remember its your first car, get it runing right if it has problems, just fix the needs then get into performance or what you want. its going to be a nice car in the end. And dont tell someone call you a ricer, just tell them to stfu and walk away

naw i havent driven it downtown. i just got it sunday and i just turned 15 a month ago and i have no permit till summer. ive just driven it in parking lots. but yea i'd like to know who that was.
