I'm 19 years old and I just got my first car, '89 240 SX, for $550 CDN. I've enclosed a pic of it at the bottom. Just wanted to say my hellos and see what's going on on the board. It came with Coilover suspension, Mag Wheels, Custom Exhaust and Blue Dash Kit. I'm looking forward to a great future with this car as I've heard that you can do alot to them. :ylsuper

The car is a blast to drive, I love it. At first I forgot it was RWD and it kinda freaked me out because I'm used to drive FWD cars. The ride is great even though it's got a coilover suspension. I love the sound the exhaust makes and the blue dash kit really lights it up during the night hours. Not bad for 550 bucks, the only problem is that it needs a brake job and I'm gonna have to replace the clutch in the near future. Speaking of clutch I was just wondering what you guys thought was the best aftermarket company to get a hi performance clutch from. With so many out there I don't know where to start. Thanks for the welcome and the help guys.

NISMO is the best in my opinion if you want to stick to NISSAN INFINITI Parts, Exedy is good also I have heard.

Cool, cool. I know NISMO would be a good choice among all the others as that's the factory team. Just thought I'd ask otherwise. Thanks.

Whats up g_unit, welcome!

Hey, did you get that car from automart.ca? I've seen it listed before, and was going to buy it for the coilovers and some other misc parts that I needed. Good thing you got to it before I did :pface

I'm assuming you're from Ontario? I'm from Toronto :)

Maybe sometime in the near future we could set up a Canadian 240 meet, if there already isnt one in the works :ylsuper

Don't waste your $ on Exedy or Nismo clutch. I assume that you have the stock KA24E in there? If yes, just get a nice ACT 6 puck or something (around $350US) and be happy. You don't need a clutch rated for 400hp if your car is only making 145hp. Nice car man! You need to get some bigger pics of it!!

an act 6 puck will NOT be streetable, do not get that for a stock motor...rico cmon man, you've been here for a while...

for a stock 240sx ilke your own, a great option would be an ACT street/strip or a Spec Stage 2...it will act very much like a stock clutch but be stiffer for better clutch feel. It may wear you out a little when you first get it though..these clutches are both rated for about 300 ft/lb of torque, but will never chatter like a race clutch.

yea man and the front right of the car is pushed in about 3 inches.. GUnit did you not look under the car for rust? did it even pass certification..I would seriously not be driving that car on the road the car is so rusted and the repair job was so crappy..even his new fenders had dried runny paint..I couldn't believe the front right side of the car,,surely you looked at that and noticed it was punched in about 3 inches....sorry man..just wondering why youre driving it around in this condition..i would be afraid for my life in that car...

well I just found out the hard way. I had my dad look at it, he works at a car dealership and he said that I'm not allowed to drive it anymore becuase it's *****ed. Ah well I guess its time for a new one. But thanks for the warning guys I probably could have been driving it around town and f*ucked something up and I would've been toast. I guess it's for the better and I can always use it for parts. :(

Yeah but I guess it just wasn't meant to be for me and the 240. Hopefully I can find a new one soon. If anyone wants to get rid of one (wink wink) give me a shout. All I care is that I can make it home in the car, and that I won't have to get rid of it 3 days later. I really don't wanna go through that again.

Funny. I have 2 friends who both have that exact clutch on their KADE and LOVE it. Both have since gone to KA-T and still have the 6 puck.

I only speak of personal knowledge and experience. And when I don't, I make sure a say that I don't have 1st person experience with what I am talking about. Don't be so quick to judge;)

Well unfortuneately I won't be putting a new clutch on the car anytime soon cause it's been "retired". I'll keep it in mind thou for my next 240.
