Look as far ahead as possible, then when you think you are looking far enough ahead, look even further ahead. if You are looking far enough ahead, than you should never be surprised on course, unless you are driving like a grandma.
Turn in EARLY on slaloms, way earlier than you think you need to, try hitting the cone with the rear tire of the car. looks like no slaloms for you on that course.
try to hold as tight of a line as possible and let the car push out.
Try to make as many straight lines out of each section as possible.
Smooth hands, and feet, think of a string tied between the stearing wheel and the gas/brakes. The more wheel you use the less gas and brakes you have available traction for. And be smooth on and off the gas/brakes. Think of an egg under the pedal.
slow in / fast out
you will need to have at least 35psi in your tires. on my 240 I ran 38/40 in the front and 36/34 in the rear, in that ball park. get some chalk and mark the sidewalls to see how far you are rolling the tires. if the car oversteers, drop rear pressure. if it understeers, try more front, but you may have to play with the rear as well to balance it out. tire pressures can get tricky. remember that as the tires heat up, they will raise pressure, so you will probably have to bleed them down some. Talk to some one local w a rwd car with similar weight and on street tires, to see what they are running. I'm on Azenis and run 36 front ans 34 rear, for now, but I haven't found the sweet spot yet.
brake in a straight line, hard.
lay your seat back, let as much slack out of the seatbelt as possible, then jerk on it to lock the retractor, then raise your seat back up, poor mans harness. You can also jerk the belt to lock the retractor and then twist the ends a few times to take some slack out as well.
late apex's are usually the fastest line on an autoX course
Don't be afaid to hit cones, that **** will buff out.
Thats all I can think of for now, here is a couple links that have some good info as well.
HAVE FUN!
And don't worry if you get smoked by some one in a "slower" car, they probably have been doing it for a long time, don't worry about where you are in your class, just work on improving your times.
