My first 240sx

Hi,

I just bought my first 240sx and I have a question, I just sent the car out to be painted and to reinforce the frame because it was in bad shape. I have been wanting a 240sx for a long time and found a deal but it does need some work. The engine seems strong, the problem is when it gets hot it starts to bog out after 20 minutes of driving. I just want to make sure it's nothing serious, any advice would be greatly appreciated. I hope it's just a fuel filter or something but you never know.

Also if you have any recommendations on what king of plugs, wires, fuel filters to use that would help out to?

I use NGK Iridium IX pluds and NGK cables. I also use the Nissan OEM oil filters and Nissan OEM 300ZX fuel filter.

The overheating might be due to your thermostat not correctly working check that

Buy an OEM thermostat from the dealership. Replacement is pretty quick and easy.

I use NGK BKR6E-11's but you'd want to run a BKR5E-11. They're cheap and good.

If the thermostat doesnt help.... Make sure the fan clutch is working. It that doesnt help, well....I dont wanna jinx it
