I just bought this car on April 27th and I am excited to get started on it. I only drove it once after I bought it! I had to go back to school and I couldn’t take it with me so all I do all day is dream of driving it

My plans are to fix it up so it’s like new and then do some performance upgrades.

Some info on the car (when I bought it): 1993 with 115,000 miles. 5 speed swapped, steel front brake lines, all 4 brakes with new pads 2 with new rotors, front tower bar, front sway bar, new pillow mounts/bushings, tie rods, stainless steel overflow tank and new radiator. There is other stuff I can’t think of right now.

bad is: top is not in good condition, front left headlight motor bad (replacement provided with purchase), left quarter window motor bad, trunk pistons worn out, no back seats or panels.

Car handles great, and all mechanical mods were done by a Marine who works on helicopter motors. Probably the coolest dude I could have bought my first car from, or any car for that matter. He is getting shipped off in a couple weeks and needed to get rid of it. I have 100% respect for him and what he does for our country.

Car was bought for under $2000

This will probably turn into a build thread, pics will come when I get a host.here they are!

Very nice, welcome.

I've gotta get a couple of those metal overflows sometime, too bad they are too expensive.

Thanks guys, and girl, i will keep updated as much as i can. I have finals next week and when i get home first thing I will do is replace the left headlight motor (that the owner provided with the car). And while I do that I need to find out who is going to fix my top. Just not sure if i can do it myself, i will probably pay $900 for a convertable top guy to do it. I am too scared after seeing a step by step that looks like it took at least two full days by someone who has done it before.

the top is one of those 20ft things. from 20ft it looks good but get closer and its quite worn. it has the buble roof problem, not to mention a little leak in the back right corner and the back window looks like it got in a fight with a rivit gun and lost while simultaniously pissing all over itself. i might be exagerating a little.

Anyway i figure i would bump cuase i found som1 that would do the top for $900, all labor and materials. but i will look over more top build/replace threads and see if i am up for the chalange so i could save $500 and buy my tanabe concept g exhuast early

sorry DeX no new pics in this one but when i get home i will take some for ya

couple updates:Replaced the headlight motor, reseated hood so as not to rattle, checked underneath car for any flaws/rust i didnt see before, found out that the car has a nismo front brace, fixed the 1/4 window, turned out to be a bad switch.i also checked compression 155, 160, 160, 160. seems a little low, i dont know what oil is in it now, ill put royal purple in or somwthing next

lots more stuff to do for the interior, still trying to find out what to do with the rear.any ideas you guys have are apreciated.
