I just bought this Today. its an 89 . The guy I bought it from got it from JNR motorsports in new Hampshire. Its a little banged up. Its got a new DOHC with 90k on it and a new clutch. lsd rear end. a bunch of suspension work most parts are adjustable. Intake, full exhaust, stock motor. no power steering. 180sx bumpers and all that gangsta rap i guess. Im not gonna lie. I don't know too much about these things. Its gutted from the front seats back. but there isnt very much rust on it.

my only concern right now is the front bumper is held on with zipties so is the left headlight cover. The fenders look rolled to fit the bumper. should it be hard to get the bumper mounted?

im probably gonna fix all the small things that are wrong with it and make it look a little nicer. ill get some more pics tomorrow.

My suggestion is:If you don't know alot about this car bring it to a mechanic, a legit one and ask him what he honestly thinks. JNR/Dang Drifters is the worst person to trust. Everything he has ever touched turns to total garbage. He seems like a nice dude and all, but trust me. I wish I had listened to all my friends when they told me stories. Just make sure everything is sound and don't go to that man for ANYTHING! There are a ton of us around here who are always more than willing to help out peopkle with their cars.

Good luck though, welcome to the club!

I might just do that and sell this bumper. Im probably going to put it back together a little bit more and make it a little nicer. Its going to be mostly my daily driver but id like to drift it if I ever get the chance. The guy I bought it from was going to drift it but he needed a van for his band. I cant remember all the stuff he did to it. he redid all the bushings and bearings and stuff I really dont have any idea what or how im going to do anything with it.

I paid 3k for it and he delivered it to my house and is giving me a box of stuff to mod the engine if i want. Personally I think it was just an okay deal nothing special. I just sold my camaro and my altima is ready to die. so I jumped on this pretty fast. I really just wanted one with out rust that wasnt all riced out or too beat on with a DOHC and most important parts are pretty new.

EDIT. the guy I bought the car from told me JNR riped him off and sold him the car with a s***ty engine in it. and it blew not to long after he had it. This was the guys 3rd 240 and he did all the work himself replacing everything. The guy I bought it from seems pretty nice. its a little bent were the left headlight mounts under the hood tho so it was probably knocked into something ill take a pic of tomorrow. but i might take it to a mechanic the guy i bought it from seems pretty honest and like he knows what hes doing. he said i could keep in contact with him and give him a call if i ever needed to know how to do anything and stuff. I guess you wouldn't want someone to keep in contact with you if you were selling them something you thought was a piece of s***.

Oh hey, I read that wrong. I thought you wrote that you bought it DIRECTLY from JNR.

I'm glad to hear that you didn't! Good luck again!

I think Im gonna keep it. I dident like it so much at first but it grew on me.

and it dident come with a radio. judging from the rest of the car. It was probubly zip tied in and somone did steal it.

Mounting that bumper correctly should be easy unless the front is a little smashed. I've mounted front bumpers ALMOST perfectly with like 4 zipties, its not hard. If the kid said he was GOING to drift it and replaced all the bushings the car was more than likely beat to s*** and some repairs may have been half assed. Bring it to a mechanic and just ask him to look over the whole car, check if anything is wrong to avoid future problems.

Congrats on the car though.

i removed almost all the stock brackets that hold the bumper on. My stock chuki bumper is held on only with zipties, and it fits better than ever.

The car looks pretty good. Its in pretty good shape underneath and whatnot I cant see anything that someone attempted to repair. no serious rust anywhere. The guy I bought it from seemed like a trustworthy guy and like he knew what he was doing. He dident try to sugar coat anything.

So zip ties are fine? The ones that are on it now are small and ready to brake. Were exactly do i zip tie it? iv been searching for some pics but cant find any.

Right now the top of the bumper is tied off at the green squares and thats what it looks like theres nothing for the bumper to hang off of. do I tie off the flaps that are under the headlights off were the blue squares are? Am I missing anything?

this is all thats under the bumper. (not my car tho)
