very nice. I have some questions. how much is the retuned ecu? Do you need to send a core? What mods. did the harness need?

Hi,

it took me one day to do the engine swap and the exhaust and almost 3 days to do the wiring, but I love playing with wiring , so it isn't that bad.Another 1/2 day to make the intercooler piping.

I made a diagram for the conversion from ca16de harness to ca18det if any one wants a copy let me know, I have to get it scanned some how and get it as a softcopy, it shows what to hook up what from the ca16de to ca18det engine and the 240sx harness. With the help of the diagram it should only take about half a day.thanks,

Hi, if you get me a ca16de ecu, I will get it programmed for less than half what jwt charges. Or I can send you the chip and you have to get it socketed it.Plus I will include a diagram to show you where things hooks up

Ya That slivia thing was a typo when when I wnet to fix it , it wouldn't let me lol. So I kept it,

Ya I can still get engines, I actually have two comming this Saturady, I already saw them, they are in a mint shape , they come with full enigne harness, ecu, but no maf or ignitor, also it comes with 5spd transmission and every thing that bolts onto the engines.

would there be any limitations to using a CA16 instead of the CA18?? or did you just not have the ecu in the first place???

Well, the reason I use the ca16de ecu, is because my pulsar had a ca16de in but not any more, and I got jwt to program it , so have an eprom reader , also I got the 550cc jwt program for the ca16de to run with the ca18det.

Ryan, I replied to your email.

Rafi you did an awsome job! Mike is going to be one happy camper!

I added you to my msn list. I'd like to grab a copy of the wiring diagram for ca16 -> ca18.

Thanks,

Andrew.

I just want to say, I saw Rafi's ca18det install first hand, I have a feeling the owner of that car will not be disapointed...

It was my first real live encounter with a "SIL80" and I was giddy with joy to behold this site in front of me up and running.....

Big props to to Rafi for the nice job...and I would have no bones about him working on my car....

Peace DAN510:ylsuper

Sorry guys, I removed the pictures as per the owners request as he wants to make his own website for it and he wants to keep it under the radar until he picks it up from my shop, I think this is fair from his side. When he gets the new website up and running I will post the link for you boys. Thanks,
