Don't let me take away your fun Would love to see what you have to say along with your pics and vids.shift_mikey wrote:LOL Tyler you took away my fun, i was gonna do the full pics and hopefully install write up LOL
No biggie, I was going to try to do a little before and after video clips see if we can get a little better appreciation for the sound difference.
LOOKS good my man! Lots of luck with it!
EDIT: Tyler i forgot to ask you. What is your opinion on the muffler outlet? I feel its kinda short and stubby. I wish the muffler cans sat under the car a little more and the outlet was a little longer. The stainless cans look nice but its almost a little to "in your face"...... Anyway, just askin what you think
I'm not new to modifying cars, it sounds like an exhaust system to me It sure as hell doesn't sound stock. I can understand that if you've never had a part like this on your car before it could sound a bit loud at first.shift_mikey wrote:Tyler how bad IS the droning? Is it like Johnny explains? I'm starting to feel like this isn't a good idea and maybe i should ship it back.......
oh who am i kidding, i'll be at the dealer trying to get the hangers tomorrow to install tomorrow night!
What does this mean? Where do we get them? So i would have to say that we don't need a resonator since it doesn't have one correct? Any help is thankful.SHIFT_COUPE wrote:Now. Of course Johnny found out for us that those with the V6 will need exhaust hangers because we lack a resonator to begin with. Installation went very smooth. Everything fits nicely.
Oh! then it's a big no no for the Stillen exhaust for me. When I'm on the highway and I'm cruising, I love the fact that it's quiet, even with my intake. My ideal exhaust wakes up at 3000 rpms and is gradual full blast from 3500 to redline.SHIFT_COUPE wrote: [...] Of course its the driving impressions that you all want to hear. Between 2000-2500 rpms is the point where its the loudest. Minor droning which will most likely subside a bit when it breaks in. [...]
Actually, using an X pipe will significantly increase the sound and in-cabin noise, something most guys here really don't want. Well at least I wouldn't want a loud exhaust, but that's just me.LinkNuc wrote:need sound bytes, I still think dual cat back and a common muffler across the back and quasi x-pipes sounds the best and is the most efficient, aka Borla...please post, don't like dual muffs on the VQ
