to sum up my problem, the clutch fan has began to sound like a huge MAC truck when it reaches about 2k rpms. And feels like its adding more strain but i cant tell.

Ive researched this problem, and it seems to be the belt driven fan. I want get it fixed as soon as possible in whatever way possible.

I was wondering if going to like autozone or napa and getting a new clutch assembly would work and i just replace them. or is this, i assume common, problem with the extremely loud fans more complicated.

Also by not fixing this am i running a greater risk of overheating? ill be doing a good amount of driving tomorrow

yeah your clutch might've just gotten siezed which is why it's not letting the fan slip a little. Can you spin the fan freely when the engine is off?

This shouldn't cause your engine to overheat as the fan is sucking in a ton of air through the radiator.
